Joseph McCoy, a partner in the firm's Real Estate & Land Use practice, represents institutional lenders in all types of complex lending transactions, from construction financing and mortgage lending to mezzanine financing, participant loan transactions and syndicated loan transactions. He also represents clients in land acquisitions and developments, as well as the disposition of various types of properties, such as universities, grocery stores, office buildings, apartment buildings and shopping centers. In addition, he represents both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions.
Joseph also serves as a consultant and advisor to sports and entertainment clients in all aspects of their business. He is a Certified Contract Advisor for players in the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA).
Joseph is an active alumnus of Northwestern University School of Law serving as a member of the Law Board and serving as Admissions Interviewer for the Law School Alumni Interviewing Program. In addition, he serves as an Instructor in the Introduction to Legal Learning Program and serves as a guest lecturer on various topics for the student body.
