Ms. Zemlock represents businesses and individuals at both the federal and state level, at all stages and in all types of government investigations. Ms. Zemlock has represented individuals and companies indicted for, charged with, or accused of computer crimes; environmental crimes; tax-related crimes; vehicle laws, including those pertaining to individuals holding a commercial license; fraud; drug offenses; sex offenses and various other types of crimes. Ms. Zemlock has defended individuals and businesses prosecuted by the United States Attorney's Office, the State Attorney General's Office and District Attorney's Offices throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Ms. Zemlock conducts internal corporate investigations and represents individuals in grand jury proceedings. Ms. Zemlock also counsels and represents individuals whose professional licenses may be subject to discipline.
Ms. Zemlock is a former Chief Deputy Public Defender of the Dauphin County Public Defenders Office, where she represented individuals charged with a multitude of crimes. Ms. Zemlock has also tried cases involving complex scientific principles and expert testimony, including DNA. Ms. Zemlock's trial experience includes capital cases. Ms. Zemlock was also the Chief Deputy Public Defender in charge of appeals.
With respect to her civil practice, Ms. Zemlock has represented businesses, including contractors and other corporations, as well as individuals, in cases involving the Federal False Claims Act, civil rights disputes, contractor debarment laws, various environmental laws, franchise agreements, other complex commercial contracts and administrative laws. Ms. Zemlock has also litigated constitutional claims, including claims that government conduct infringed upon individuals' First Amendment rights, Fourth Amendment rights and rights to Due Process of Law.
Ms. Zemlock is a former adjunct professor at the Widener School of Law, where she tought Trial Methods. Additionally, she is President of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Ms. Zemlock is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association's Criminal Law Section, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Criminal Law Committee. She was selected for inclusion in the 2006 edition of Philadelphia Magazine "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer - Rising Stars."
