Ronald J. Zadora joined the Monaghan, P.C. law firm on January 1, 2006 as a senior attorney after having practiced law as a partner with a Bloomfield Hills and Troy law firm, and an associate attorney at Dykema, PLC.
Mr. Zadora has considerable experience and expertise in drafting and funding estate plans, administration of estates and trusts, preparation of federal estate and gift tax returns, probate and trust litigation. In addition, a significant part of his practice involves planning for small to medium size businesses from formation to termination, including business succession planning. He has considerable experience in transactional planning, including buying and selling businesses and commercial property. His practice also includes representation of private foundations, including information and tax qualification.
While attending the University of Notre Dame Law School, Mr. Zadora was a Note and Comment Editor on the Law Review. In addition to publishing an article with the Notre Dame Law Review, he has contributed articles to the Detroit College of Law Review and the Journal of Taxation.
Mr. Zadora received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business law from Michigan State University, his Juris Doctorate from University of Notre Dame cum laude, and an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law. As an adjunct professor at Walsh College with high honors (1975-1997), Mr. Zadora taught various tax courses in the Master of Taxation program at Walsh College, including the following: estate planning, income taxation of trusts and estates, partnership taxation, tax shelters, and taxation of investments. He has received the highest rating (AV) from Martindale Hubbell for 30 years. In 2010 he was selected as one of the Top Lawyers in business law and estate planning by DBusiness magazine. He is a member of the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute Planned Giving Committee.
