Karyn Gimbel Youso is a family law attorney and mediator with over 20 years of experience. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and her law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Committed to low-conflict dispute resolution, Ms. Youso seeks to put her creative problem-solving skills to good use in both her Collaborative divorce practice, and in her role as mediator. Her family law practice has always had a strong focus on cases involving domestic abuse, substance abuse, and mental illness.
Ms. Youso formerly chaired the Public Education Committee of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin as well as serving on its Board, and participated on the Public Education Committee of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She just completed her service as Board member of the State Bar of Wisconsin Family Law Section, and currently serves on the Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse – Justice Committee Batterers Treatment Certification and Standards Workgroup. She is married with three daughters, a dog, and two cats, and spends most of her free time volunteering for various non-profit fundraising efforts.
