Joseph Yu is an associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. He joined the firm in 2010.
Practice
Mr. Yu's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in state and federal court involving financial institutions, contractual disputes, business torts and securities law. He has also been involved in representing clients in criminal investigations conducted by the US Attorney's Office and the New York County District Attorney's Office, as well as investigations conducted by the SEC.
Past Experience
During law school, Mr. Yu was a summer associate at WilmerHale, where he worked on matters relating to commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. He also interned at a Washington DC firm, where he researched and contributed to matters of patent law.
Prior to beginning his legal studies, Mr. Yu was an applications engineer and business analyst for Sotheby’s from 2000 to 2005. He was responsible for designing and implementing company-wide, database-driven information systems. Mr. Yu also worked as a business analyst at a business consulting firm in New York where he designed and implemented information systems for corporate clients.
