Beth McCarter is married to W. Dudley McCarter, a partner at Behr McCarter & Potter, P.C. Beth and Dudley have three daughters.

Beth McCarter practices with her brother and partner Brian Dunlop in the firm founded by their father Dudley C. Dunlop in the 1950's. Dudley C. Dunlop died in 2003.
