Ms. Mazurczyk brings over 17 years experience to the legal field. Prior to establishing her own law firm, she practiced law in New York for many years as a staff attorney for District Council 37's Municipal Employees Legal Services Plan. At DC 37, her office managed hundreds of ongoing active emergency chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. A federally designated debt relief agent, she represented debtors at bankruptcy hearings and in adversarial proceedings as well as defended union workers in civil debt litigation in hospital, medical and general debt matters.
Ms. Mazurczyk is also experienced in residential real estate. She regularly represents both purchasers and sellers, ranging from first-time home buyers to experienced real property investors. Her services cover the myriad steps and paperwork necessary to finalize real property transactions, from negotiation of terms to protect her client's interest, to post-closing concerns such as issuance of the title insurance policy, typically many months after the closing.
By their nature, legal proceedings and transactions can provoke a high level of anxiety. Her practice is based upon the belief that in the great majority of cases, conflict and anxiety can be diffused with skill, experience and commitment.
Ms. Mazurczyk takes pride in dedicating herself to providing high quality, professional legal services tailored to her client's individual needs.
