STELLA W. YAP earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA and her law degree at Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, where she was a staff member on the International Law Review.
Ms. Yap acts as business and legal affairs counsel for various individuals and corporations in the U.S. and China , assisting clients in the areas of selecting and forming their operating structures, negotiating and drafting agreements including shareholder agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, joint venture agreements.
Ms. Yap is counsel for a non-profit charitable foundation and is responsible for implementing and administrating programs to promote U.S. China relations and education through seminars, networking, and scholarship programs.
Stella Yap also practices in the area of business and entertainment law, with a focus on Music. Ms. Yap assists clients with negotiating and drafting agreements including artist agreements, producer agreements, publishing agreements, recording and management agreements, concert tour agreements, work-for-hire agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements; as well as licensing, joint ventures, and trademark and copyright registration and enforcement.
Ms. Yap also currently sits on the Board of Trustees for UCLA's UniCamp program, one of the oldest student organized charities in the country. Each year, UniCamp sends nearly 1000 children from low-income families to its residential outdoor summer camp. Founded in 1934, UniCamp is UCLA's longest running tradition.
