Mr. Matthews is a member of ECG’s complex business and appellate litigation practice groups. He routinely practices in the areas of real estate, product liability, contract, and intellectual property. Mr. Matthews has experience in all phases of litigation, including intake, discovery, pre-trial motion practice, and trial preparation. Mr. Matthews also works on federal regulatory matters, with a focus on the 8(a) Business Development Program administered through the United States Small Business Administration. In 2008, Mr. Matthews served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and was responsible for reviewing party submitted briefs and preparing proposed memorandum opinions. From 2005-2007, Mr. Matthews received an appointment to serve in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he executed the Administration’s environmental policies and initiatives.
