Yoder, Richard L.

MaiVue practices with Weld Riley’s Business Law and Frac Sand Mining and Minerals sections, focusing on business formations and sales, banking and financing services, and real estate and landlord/tenant law.  MaiVue also uses her expertise in these areas to provide opinions on metallic and nonmetallic (frac sand) mining issues for companies and landowners. 

MaiVue received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.  While in law school, MaiVue was a member of the Moot Court Board and was selected to represent the law school in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.  She was also a member of the International Law Journal and served as the Journal's Senior Symposium Editor.

Prior to joining Weld, Riley, MaiVue interned for The Honorable Joan H. Lefkow, District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.  MaiVue also interned for the Wisconsin Department of Justice and volunteered for the Legal Information Center in Madison.  For her volunteer work, she received the Wisconsin Asian Bar Association Community Award.

MaiVue is a member of the Eau Claire County Bar and Wisconsin State Bar Associations and a graduate of the Leadership Menomonie 2011 class.  She is originally from Altoona and resides in the Chippewa Valley with her husband.  Upon returning home, MaiVue helped form Hmong Professionals of the Chippewa Valley (HPCV), a group focused on bringing Hmong professionals together to make positive changes in the community through education, advocacy, and volunteer efforts.
