WM. REAGAN WYNN was born and raised in Levelland, Texas. After graduating from Levelland High School, he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor's Degree in Government in 1993. He then attended the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he was awarded his Juris Doctorate in 1996.
After graduating from law school, Reagan returned to Texas, moving to Fort Worth, where he spent one year working as Briefing Attorney for the Honorable David Richards, Associate Justice of the Second Court of Appeals of Texas. After this tenure with Justice Richards, Reagan accepted a position as an associate with our firm.
Reagan's practice is limited to the representation of persons and business entities in criminal prosecutions and investigations and he is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has an active criminal trial practice including representing clients in DWI cases, drug cases, fraud cases, sex crimes cases, murder cases, and other aggravated felony cases. In addition to trial work, Reagan dedicates a significant portion of his practice to appellate and post-conviction habeas corpus representation. He has authored briefs and presented oral argument in numerous cases before appellate courts, including, but not limited to, appellate representation of persons convicted of DWI, Narcotics Crimes, Sexual Assault, White Collar Fraud, Murder, and Capital Murder cases where the death penalty was imposed. Reagan has also pursued habeas corpus remedies in both state and federal court on behalf of persons convicted of all levels of crimes, including complicated death penalty litigation.
Reagan has been elected by his peers to be listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 2005-present, and was one of three Fort Worth attorneys to be named "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers in America for 2011. Reagan has also been named a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly in 2003, 2005, and from 2007-present and as a "Top Attorney" by Fort Worth, Texas Magazine. Reagan is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
Reagan is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Reagan is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and was President of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association in 2006. Additionally, Reagan serves as Co-Chair of the Amicus Curiae Committtee of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association.
Reagan is a frequent lecturer on criminal law topics and has authored or co-authored several papers presented to various legal seminars.
