Scot Matayoshi’s practice area focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Matayoshi graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Government. He graduated cum laude from the University of Hawai‘i, William S. Richardson School of Law, where he competed as a part of the Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court team. His team placed second in the 2012 West Coast Super Regional, Mr. Matayoshi receiving an award for the third best speaker overall. His team went on to win the seventh best overall brief in the world at the 2012 International Rounds in Washington D.C., competing against 90 other countries.
Prior to joining McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon LLP, Mr.Matayoshi received his Master of Education in Teaching from the University of Hawai‘i in 2008 while teaching science at Nanakuli High and Intermediate School through Teach for America. In 2009, Mr. Matayoshi received the Peace Day Hawai‘i Award for his work in Nanakuli.
Mr. Matayoshi is admitted to practice before all of the courts in the State of Hawai‘i as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawai‘i.
