John Marwell's practice includes land use litigation, zoning, planning, environmental and real estate law. He has served as lead counsel in several land use cases of state-wide significance. He began his legal career as an attorney with IBM Corporation. He has served as a member of the House of Delegates of the New York State Bar Association since 2003. He was a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates in 2005-2006. Mr. Marwell has served as Chairman of the Board of Teatown Lake Reservation, the largest private non-governmental nature preserve and education center in Westchester County. He is a Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation, a past president of Westchester County Bar Foundation and past president of the Westchester County Bar Association. He is a former adjunct professor of corporate law at Pace University School of Law, and lectures on ethics and professionalism, litigation, land use and environmental law matters at bar association and other professional conferences.
