Mr. Martin, formerly a partner at Looney, Nichols & Johnson, has over 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer and a certified mediator. Mr. Martin was born in 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and he is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (B.B.A., 1971) and Oklahoma City University (J.D. 1983).
He is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association (Fee Grievance and Ethics Committee, 1998-present); Oklahoma Bar Association (Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, 1999-present); the Chickasaw Bar Association; American Bar Association; Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel; Defense Research Institute (DRI); and International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).
Mr. Martin is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the Chickasaw Nation Tribal Court and Gaming Commission, all federal district courts within Oklahoma, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Martin's practice includes insurance defense including, but not limited to, aviation, construction, automobile, truck, premises, bad faith, insurance coverage, employment law, oilfield (including downhole losses and pollution), and professional liability (including legal, dental, and nursing).
