Frances Martinez joined Escobar & Associates, P.A. in 2008 as an associate in the Criminal Defense group, where she handles appeals and post-conviction motions. In 2010, Frances joined the Family Law group, where her practice includes divorces, child support and custody issues, termination of parental rights, dependency defense, and domestic violence injunctions.
Prior to joining Escobar & Associates, P.A., Frances worked as a staff attorney for the Honorable Anthony K. Black, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, where she gained invaluable research and writing experience and insight into the judicial process.
Frances received her B.A. in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans in 2002. While at Loyola, Frances studied abroad in London, England and Granada, Spain. Frances earned her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, where she competed as both an oralist and briefwriter in the 13th Annual Duberstein Moot Court Competition and served as the Selection Committee Chair of the Loyola University Moot Court Program.
Frances was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Tampa, Florida, where she attended Academy of the Holy Names. She is fluent in Spanish.
