John P.Wolff, III has been primarily engaged in casualty and commercial litigation during his practice. His experience includes the defense of products liability, environmental and toxic torts, insurance, admiralty and maritime defense, professional liability, architect/engineer liability, defamation and labor and employment relations cases and subrogation. He has represented the City of Lafayette. Mr. Wolff was lead counsel in a scope of practice decision resulting in a permanent injunction prohibiting CRNAs from practicing interventional medicine procedures. He maintains an active practice in complex actions in federal and state courts.
He is a member of Phi Delta Phi and served on the Moot Court Board at L.S.U. Law School. He was the recipient of the Robert Lee Tullis Semi-Finalist award in 1983-1984 and was the winner of the Flory Trial Competition. He was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence award (agency and partnership). He serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge, Human Resource Chairman; he is currently on the Board of Directors for BRES, a non-profit dedicated to serve children and young adults. He is presently a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana State (Environmental and Appeal Sections) and American Bar Associations. He is an active member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel where he has served as a guest speaker. He serves on the Louisiana State Bar Association Bench and Bar Section's Ad Hoc Judiciary Committee. He is a member in all state and federal courts in the State of Louisiana including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
