After having been name and managing partner of a Manhattan law firm for many years, Mr. Wood opened his own office in White Plains in 2001. He continues to bring his diverse law firm training and more than 30 years of legal experience to a clientele of sophisticated corporate clients, that range in size from small to giant, without subjecting his clients to big firm billing rates and without passing his clients off to junior associates. He provides services to his corporate clients in diverse fields including preventative personnel counseling, technology licensing and distribution systems, antitrust, debt or private placement financing, and Federal Court litigation.
His diverse clientele includes not for profit entities of varying types, including a public sector labor union, and he has experience with a wide variety of labor and employment law issues including civil rights, collective bargaining, employment contracts, union elections, unfair labor practice charges, personnel policy manuals, and labor arbitration.
He, also, has extensive experience in statutory trust and licensing matters under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act ("PACA"), a federal act which strictly regulates commerce in fruits and vegetables and provides special rights in Federal Court to vendors of such commodities, who follow the requirements of the PACA.
Mr. Wood is admitted in both New York and New Jersey and has also participated in Federal Court litigation in several other states including, Connecticut, Massachuset, Pennsylvania and Ohio on a pro hac vice basis.
