Mike Marcucci concentrates his practice on general business litigation, with a focus in securities litigation, executive employment litigation, and the representation of individuals and companies facing government investigations, including those conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission, NASD (now the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and the Department of Justice. Mike also has experience conducting internal investigations into alleged fraud and unlawful activities on behalf of large publicly traded companies as well as smaller, closely held firms. He has extensive experience in breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims as well as representing companies and executives in high-value breach of employment agreement and severance litigation.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2011, Mike successfully represented a former CEO of a technology company in an action brought by his former employer for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty; secured dismissal of an investment adviser, broker-dealer, and portfolio manager in an NASD arbitration alleging the wrongful termination of a securities trader; and assisted the majority owner of a broker-dealer in securing a favorable settlement of a dispute with the former minority owner of the firm.
Mike is a member of the Boston Bar Association and a trustee of Montrose School in Medfield, Massachusetts.
