Witty, Elaine

Evelyn is on the professional staff of AWD in the Sedona office. She has been an attorney in Orange County, California since 1978 with an emphasis on estate planning, estate settlements, elder law, probate and real estate. She is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to the United States District Court, Central District of California. Her Arizona practice is limited to federal law matters.

In 1987 she received a Fulbright Grant and taught American Jurisprudence at the University of Paris II-Faculty of Law. During her tenure in Europe, Evelyn earned a Diploma in Advanced International Legal Studies from the University of the Pacific-McGeorge University School of Law, Sacramento, California. Upon her return to the U.S., she represented the Paris based S.G. Archibald law firm for three years as their California business development contact.

Along with her practice of law, she was a professor of real estate at Rancho Santiago Community College District and she taught Business Law as an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Long Beach. She co-authored a textbook California Real Estate Law and she was the author of a California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office statewide educational publication on Trust Deeds, Foreclosures and Bankruptcy.

Prior to attending law school, Evelyn was a college-level professor of French language and literature. She continues to travel frequently to France and is fluent in French as well as being conversant in Spanish. Evelyn resides in Sedona where she serves on the Board of Trustees of Chamber Music Sedona. She is an active member of several other local organizations.
