Tamara Marinkovic has experience in a wide array of complex commercial litigation matters, including federal and state securities actions, class actions, and the arbitration of commercial disputes. Tamara is currently a member of a team of Jones Day lawyers defending a variety of securities fraud class actions. She also has comprehensive experience in litigating commercial matters for major online travel companies. Tamara's clients have included Expedia, Electronic Data Systems Corporation, and Bridgestone/Firestone, among others.
Tamara is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas. Tamara is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association and a Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation.
Tamara has participated in a wide range of community activities. She previously served two terms as chair of the board of AVANCE-Dallas and, in 2004, graduated from the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Dallas Program. Tamara also serves on Southern Methodist University's alumni board. In the field of foreign policy and international affairs, Tamara is a member of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations and a contributor to SMU's Tower Center Forum. In 2003 and 2006, Tamara participated in the Young Leaders Conference sponsored by The Council for the United States and Italy. Tamara is also a Fellow of the British American Project of the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London and the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
