Brian B. Winegar is an associate at Perdue Kidd & Vickery in Houston, Texas. Mr. Winegar joined the firm in December 2010 as a law clerk and became an associate in May 2012. Before joining Perdue Kidd & Vickery Mr. Winegar was a night school student at the University of Houston Law Center, where he earned his law degree in December of 2011. While attending law school, he served as the regional Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Texas Department of State Health Services. In this capacity, Mr. Winegar responded to public health emergencies throughout the state.
Mr. Winegar grew up in Beaumont, Texas, where his family continues to run the local rice mill. He attended Boston College and graduated in 2001. He then worked as a social worker in HIV/AIDS community before returning to Columbia University where he graduated in 2006 with a Masters in Public Health.
Since 2010 Mr. Winegar has primarily focused on pharmaceutical litigation and personal injury cases involving prescription drugs. However, he has also represented clients in wrongful death, medical malpractice, and consumer litigation cases.
Mr. Winegar and his wife Cate - a public school teacher - live in Houston with their two young children Aidan and Mara. They are active members and supporters of the Down Syndrome Association of Houston, The RISE School of Houston, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
