Paula Batt Wilson concentrates her practice in litigation, with a particular interest in product liability and multicase litigation. Paula is a member of the Jones Day team that serves as national coordinating counsel and trial counsel in product liability and public nuisance litigation involving paints and pigments. Her responsibilities encompass corporate, medical, and public health history and include the defense of claims of failure to warn and claims of misrepresentations in advertising and marketing. She also serves as a member of Jones Day teams representing medical device manufacturers as well as a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in litigation involving antidepressants. Paula's experience in other areas ranges from energy and utility contracts to FDA matters, consumer fraud class actions, and insurance coverage and legal malpractice claims. Paula coauthored, with Jones Day partner Mark Herrmann, an article on a contested removal strategy, published online in Product Liability Law 360 as "A Serviceable Notion: Removal By Resident Defendants" (2008).
Before practicing law, Paula was a member of the U.S. management team at AFS International/Intercultural Programs Inc. in New York. Paula is a member of the Federal and Ohio Bar Associations and serves as a member of the board of directors of the American Red Cross Blood Services, Northeast Ohio Region.
