Marc is a shareholder in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. He is based in our Minneapolis office and is a member of the Business Litigation Section. Marc's litigation practice is principally in the areas of:

• Contracts
• Eminent domain
• Construction
• Bankruptcy
• Real estate disputes
• Real estate valuation, including tax court
• Complex litigation

Marc has significant experience in resolving issues relating to real property, including valuation issues, secured lending problems, construction litigation and government projects. Although his practice is primarily devoted to litigation, Marc began his legal career as a commercial attorney drafting documentation for secured transactions, real estate and general business.

Marc has been certified as a civil trial specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has been selected as a “Leading Minnesota Attorney.” He has also been named a “Super Lawyer” by Minnesota Law & Politics in the area of real estate litigation. Marc is a member of the Ramsey County, Hennepin County, Minnesota State and American Bar associations. He is on the board of the Hennepin County Bar Association’s Eminent Domain Section, and is also involved in the Litigation, Bankruptcy and Construction Sections of the Minnesota State Bar Association.

In addition, Marc is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He serves on the board of directors for St. Joseph’s Ministries. He served a four-year term on the Saint Paul School Board and has served as a member of the board of directors for the Saint Paul Public Schools Foundation, Educational Technology Associates, Prepare Saint Paul, the Saint Paul Downtown Council, the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee and the Citizen's Advisory Committee to the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority. Marc has been active in the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and served on the Macalester-Groveland District Council. He is a certified referee with the U.S. Soccer Federation and has been an assistant scout master for the Boy Scouts of America.

Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Marc received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Augustana College and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He joined Briggs in 1999.
