George Wilsey is a graduate of Florida State University and George Washington University, College of Law with honors where he was associate editor of the Law Review and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and the Order of Coif, Honor Societies. He is a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent "AV" Peer Review Rated attorney. George has been recognized by Tampa Bay Magazine as one of the "Best Lawyers in America", by Florida Trend as one of "Florida's Legal Elite" and by Thomson Reuters as a "Florida Super Lawyer". He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1958 and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. George is a past president of both the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Legal Aid Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate counsel and is certified by the Florida Bar's Board of Legal Specialization and Education in the area of Wills, Trusts and Estates, a distinction shared by fewer than 1% of the attorneys in Pinellas county. He is the co-author of the Will and Trust Contest Chapter of the Florida Bar's Litigation Under the Florida Probate Code practice manual and has also authored several other articles and given seminars on estate planning and will contests for the Florida Bar and other legal organizations. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, George is a long time resident of St. Petersburg, with three children, two of whom are also attorneys in the firm. George practices in the areas of wills, trust, estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, will contests and probate litigation.
