Mr. Malzahn obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1979 from St. Cloud State University and his Juris Doctorate in 1983 from Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota. Mr. Malzahn has been representing victims of injury accidents for over 25 years based upon his own very personal experience in this area:
"I started my legal career as a prosecuting attorney after graduating from law school. Within a few short months, a young family member was injured very badly in a car accident in which he was totally fault free. I watched how the insurance company treated him and his parents as he lay in a hospital bed in a coma with a broken neck. It was then that I decided that I would stop being a prosecuting attorney and instead help injury victims pursue just compensation against the insurance companies."
Since then Mr. Malzahn has represented numerous people over the years with injuries from car accidents ranging from traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death cases, and other injuries covering the entire spectrum of possible physical and emotional injury. Mr. Malzahn has successfully represented clients in obtaining recoveries against numerous insurance companies and large corporations.
Mr. Malzahn is a Civil Trial Specialist certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association; an exclusive certification maintained by less than 3% of the lawyers in the state of Minnesota. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota, and Wisconsin as well as United States Federal District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the United States Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit. He is a member of the Minnesota Association For Justice, American Association For Justice, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Wisconsin State Bar Association. He is a panel arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, a former neutral mediator certified by the Minnesota Supreme Court, District Ethics Investigator, and member of the Interstate Trucking Litigation committee of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
