Education
Mr. Main was born in Newton, Iowa, but he grew up in Central Florida. He went to Lake Mary High School, graduating Summa Cum Laude (over 4.0 GPA). He attended Florida State University and obtained degrees, with honors, in both Finance and Insurance/Risk Management. Mr. Main stayed at Florida State for law school where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree with honors.
Experience
While at Florida State College of Law, Mr. Main clerked at the Department of Highway Safety where he specialized in appellate issues for DUI cases. He later clerked at a civil insurance-defense law firm, Henry, Buchanan, Hudson, Suber, Carter, P.A. He also served as the Attorney General for the FSU Student Government Association and as a Fellow for the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. While serving as a Fellow for the Speaker, Mr. Main authored several bills which were subsequently filed in the Florida House of Representatives.
After passing the Bar, Mr. Main served as a Prosecutor at the Orange/Osceola County State Attorney's Office where he prosecuted thousands of cases, which included the successful argument of countless motions and the trial of many cases as both lead and co-counsel. He then joined the downtown-Orlando law firm of Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A. During his time at the Rissman firm, Mr. Main assisted in the litigation of hundreds of cases, which included the defense of many large insurance companies.
Mr. Main founded The Main Law Firm in 2010. Mr. Main uses his knowledge from defending the insurance companies to now helping injured persons fight against the insurance companies.
Community Involvement
Mr. Main is a founding board member and the former President of "Guys with Ties Philanthropy," a local charity organization which raises money and promotes awareness for various local charities. After completing his term as President, he has continued to serve on the Board of Directors. Through “Guys With Ties Philanthropy”, Mr. Main has helped to raise over $120,000.00, which went directly to charities including: Orlando Union Rescue Mission, Camp Boggy Creek, Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Florida, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, B.A.S.E. Camp, Kid’s House of Seminole County, UCP of Central Florida, Autism Speaks of Central Florida, XL106.7’s Baby DJ Fund, Special Olympics of Orange County, Victim Service Center of Orange County, Freedom Ride, Central Florida Police Athletic League, Make A Wish, Harbor House, Walk for Wishes, Safe House of Seminole County, My Healing Harmony, and Page 15.
