Michael A. Wilson earned a bachelor's degree in economics from South Dakota State University in 1983 and graduated from the USD School of Law in Vermillion, SD, in 1986. He began his legal career as a law clerk for Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in Mitchell, South Dakota, before joining the law firm of Morgan, Theeler, Cogley & Padrnos in 1987. In 1992, Mike moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, and joined the firm of Quinn, Eiesland, Day & Barker. Mike is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota and served as Chairman of the South Dakota Civil Pattern Jury Instruction Committee for several years. He is a sustaining member of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association and has served as an officer in that organization. Mike is Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mike Wilson and his wife Paula have six children. Paula is a school counselor employed by the Rapid City School System. Mike is a former member of the South Dakota Legislature.
