Albert joined Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum on October 9, 1971 after completing a four year term in the United State Army with the Judge Advocate General’s Corp. Attorney Mainelli served a year in Vietnam as Staff Judge Advocate for the 1st Brigade, 5th Mechanized Infantry out of Ft. Carson, CO with distinction, receiving the Bronze Star medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster and two Army Commendation Medals.
Upon joining Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum in 1971 Albert handled criminal and domestic relations matters mostly but as time went by the practice enjoyed by Albert became exclusively Family Court matters.
Albert is a life long Rhode Island resident, having been born in Providence. The family, shortly after Albert’s birth, moved from Federal Hill to the Mt. Pleasant section of the City. Albert attended LaSalle Academy and graduated from Providence College with a B.A. Degree in 1963. Thereafter Albert completed a three year curriculum at the College of William and Mary’s Marshall Wythe School of Law where Albert received a Bachelor of Civil Laws Degree in 1966 and at a later date received a J.D. Degree.
His professional memberships include being a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association since 1967 when he was admitted to the Bar. Albert served as a member of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for a substantial period of time.
Albert was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States in 1971 and the Federal Bar for the District of Rhode Island. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Military Appeals, in Washington D.C..
Albert has been married to Madelyn for 37 years. They have two daughters - Dana Elizabeth and Amy Coleman, who are both married and residing in Boston Massachusetts with their husbands.
