Alfred Mainetti, a lifelong resident of New York State, is the senior partner of Mainetti, Mainetti & O'Connor, P.C. a practice which primarily represents clients who have sustained serious injuries.
Al graduated from Monmouth College, Monmouth, Illinois, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts in English having participated in college activities as diverse as football and theater. He then attended John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois graduating in 1972 with a Juris Doctorate and returned to Kingston, New York to begin the practice of law with well known personal injury attorney William Curran. In only a few years, Al was a partner in his own firm and thereafter with his brother, Victor Mainetti, as Mainetti & Mainetti. In 2002, Al became partners with Joseph O'Connor and the firm Mainetti, Mainetti & O'Connor, P.C. was founded.
Al has always dedicated himself to long hours, hard work and personal contact with his clients in every case. After thirty-seven years in practice there are few personal injury scenarios with which Al is not familiar. The firm's practice covers all of the State of New York and other venues as well.
Al was born on November 29, 1946 in New Milford, Connecticut. His wife of thirty years, Josephine, claims the secret to their successful marriage is spending the one or two days a month he is not in the office with her. They have two sons, Alex, who just graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor's Degree in economics, January 2010 and Michael, who graduates from Albany Law School in the spring of 2010.
Al is a member of New York Trial Lawyers (1994-2008), American Bar Association (1981-2010), American Association of Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association, 1985-2010), Ulster County Bar Association (1974-2010), Committee on Professional Standards (Supreme Court Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, 2004-2010), pro bono assignments (Ulster County Courts, 1975-2000).
