Ms. Mak is an experienced real estate and business law practitioner with an accounting and tax background. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Mak gained a broad spectrum of experience in the areas of tax compliance and consulting, auditing, and real estate development. Her past employers included Price Waterhouse, Thrifty Corporation, Transamerica Insurance, as well as local firms. She also gained valuable experience as a law intern at the Tax Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles. Ms. Mak obtained her CPA certificate in 1985 while attending law school at night. She was admitted to the California Bar in 1988 and has practiced law for over 20 years, focusing in the areas of real estate and business law. Her clients include real estate developers and operators, small and medium-sized business owners and entities as well as non-profit organizations. Ms. Mak is also a licensed California real estate broker since 2005.
