Richard G. Mack, Jr. is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. While representing the AFSCME union, he has secured back pay and benefit awards of close to $1 million dollars (with interest). In 2009, he secured a $450,000 consent judgment against a defendant who owned a company, and raped his client, after forcing the Defendant to admit that he had lied under oath. He practices in the areas of labor, employment discrimination law, and general civil litigation.
At Wayne State University Law School, he founded and was editor-in-chief of the law school's second scholarly law journal, The Journal of Law in Society. He was an active member of the Citizens for Affirmative Action Preservation, and now serves on the board of the Wolverine Bar Association. Mr. Mack was recently appointed to the board of the Detroit Branch NAACP. He is a member of the National Bar Association, the American Bar Association and is active in his home church, Perfecting Church in Detroit. Richard is married to Pamela, and has one son, Jeremiah.
