Nancy MacKimm defends clients in environmental and toxic tort litigation relating to groundwater contamination, air emissions, vapor intrusion, damage to natural resources, and other consequences of industrial activity. Nancy has substantial experience in the defense of government enforcement actions and citizen suits; litigation related to liability for cleanup costs, property damage, and personal injuries; and insurance disputes relating to such liabilities. She advises clients with respect to environmental criminal investigations and the resolution of environmental liabilities in bankruptcy proceedings.
Nancy's recent work includes the defense of cancer claims allegedly arising out of historic oil exploration and production activities in Ecuador and the defense of hundreds of personal injury, medical monitoring, and property damage claims relating to vapor intrusion and groundwater contamination. Representative clients include Dole Food Company, IBM, Chevron, and Bridgestone.
Nancy is Partner-in-Charge of the Houston Office and is a director of the World Affairs Council of Houston.
