Daniel W. Mr. Mabis received a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1998, where he was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Research and Writing, Scholarly Writing I and Scholarly Writing II. While in law school, Mr. Mabis won the Thomas M. Cooley Moot Court Competition. Mr. Mabis was also a Case and Comment Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. Mr. Mabis also clerked for the Honorable William E. Collette of the Ingham County Circuit Court while still in law school. Following law school, Mr. Mabis worked as a research attorney for Judge Stanley J. Latreille of the Livingston County Circuit Court.
Prior to joining Myers & Myers, PLLC, Mr. Mabis worked at Plunkett Cooney, honing his defense litigation skills with an emphasis in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury defense, auto liability defense, premises liability defense, dram shop defense, municipal law, property law, criminal litigation, and the defense of professionals in negligence and licensing matters. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Methods at Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
