Ms. Wicks specializes in assisting clients with contract disputes and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. She also assists clients in helping to resolve contract and commercial disputes prior to litigation and through alternative dispute resolution processes and strategies. Selected for the 2010 edition of Utah Business Magazine's Legal Elite, she serves a variety of clients, including employers, medical professionals, developers, insurers, and creditors.
Ms. Wicks recognizes that clients rely on counsel to not only advocate but to problem solve. She is committed to listening to and respecting clients' needs and goals, evaluating their issues and positions objectively, communicating, and protecting clients' character and reputation. She is dedicated to running her practice and serving her clients with respect, civility, and integrity.
Ms. Wicks has experience before trial and appellate tribunals. Additionally, before joining Parr Brown, Ms. Wicks clerked for the Honorable Dale A. Kimball of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah and the Honorable Judith M. Billings of the Utah Court of Appeals. These clerkship experiences allow Ms. Wicks to provide clients with invaluable insight as to how to best prepare, frame, and present persuasive legal arguments at all levels.
Ms. Wicks received her Juris Doctor from the University of Utah, where she was a member of the Utah Law Review, a William H. Leary scholar, and an intern at both the Utah Supreme Court and the Utah Court of Appeals. Ms. Wicks graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree from Seattle University.
