Jeff Lynch has been an attorney engaged in private practice in Mt. Pleasant for 26 years. He is focused primarily in two areas: criminal defense and family law. For three generations the Lynches have practiced law in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. His grandfather, Edward “Ed” Lynch, practiced in Mt. Pleasant for 50 years, being the Mt. Pleasant City Attorney for over 25 years. His uncle John (Jack) Lynch currently still practices in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Lynch began his legal career at the firm of Lynch, Gallagher, Lynch, Shirley and Martineau in 1984 but left the law firm in 1994 to begin practicing law with his friend, Dan O’Neil, where he focuses mainly on criminal defense and family law.
Mr. Lynch attended Central Michigan University where he graduated in 1981 and then attended the University of Detroit School of Law where he earned his law degree in May, 1984.
Mr. Lynch is a past president of the Isabella County Bar Association, has been a guest lecturer at business law courses at Central Michigan University, is a past board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and is a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Mr. Lynch’s practice focuses mainly on the areas of criminal defense and family law. Based in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, he has represented clients throughout most of mid-Michigan, including the counties of Isabella, Midland, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Mecosta, Montcalm, Osceola and Roscommon and in communities such as Mt. Pleasant, Midland, Big Rapids, Alma, Ithaca, Clare, Harrison, Gladwin, Stanton, Reed City, Shepherd, Beal City, Edmore and Coleman. He represents clients in the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Court as well as cases involving students at Central Michigan University.
