Dan White practices in the area of mergers and acquisitions and is a member of Jones Day's energy practice. Dan has extensive experience in public and private negotiated acquisitions and divestitures, particularly in the energy industry, representing public utilities and other energy companies in the development, acquisition and disposition of coal, hydro, natural gas and wind generation and distribution assets and the joint ownership and operation of generation assets. His extensive M&A experience includes the acquisition and disposition of stock and other equity interests and assets, corporate reorganizations, and the formation of joint ventures.  Dan also has counseled ESOP trustees regarding the general corporate, M&A, and securities law aspects of ESOP buyout transactions.

In addition, Dan has practiced extensively in the areas of insider reporting and trading regulation and stock-based executive compensation. He has counseled clients regarding the restrictions imposed by and compliance with Section 16, Rule 10b-5, and related federal securities laws and regulations.  He also has advised clients regarding a wide variety of stock-based compensation arrangements and general federal securities law reporting and disclosure obligations, including executive compensation-related disclosure issues.

Dan is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and The Chicago Bar Association.
