Jeremy Y. Weltman has been part of the Clark, Hunt, Ahern & Embry’s Litigation team since 2007. Mr. Weltman’s concentration is civil and commercial litigation, encompassing CHAE’s wide-reaching general litigation practice with experience handling catastrophic personal injury matters, tort, business, general liability and commercial disputes, as well as municipal and real estate litigation matters.
Mr. Weltman has litigated and negotiated disputes for a wide range of clients, including property owners, injured individuals and their families, condominium associations, contractors, insurers, corporations and small businesses. He has successfully tried cases in Massachusetts state courts and has also represented clients in alternative forms of dispute resolution with favorable results.
Prior to joining Clark, Hunt, Ahern & Embry, Mr. Weltman was a civil litigation associate at a large law firm in Boston focusing on general liability matters including premises liability, complex products liability, and insurance coverage.
Mr. Weltman graduated summa cum laude from the University of Denver in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minors in Biology, Business Administration and Philosophy. During his time at the University of Denver, he earned the distinguished Hornbeck Scholar award for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average for over 85% of his collegiate curriculum and was invited to join several esteemed honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa and The Golden Key. Mr. Weltman earned his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 2004.
While attending Northeastern University School of Law, Mr. Weltman participated in the University’s cooperative legal education program. Through the program, he worked as a legal intern for the Honorable Raymond J. Brassard of the Massachusetts Superior Court and several law firms in Boston and New York City, providing Mr. Weltman with experience handling a variety of legal matters.
Mr. Weltman has earned an AV rating (the highest rating available in consideration of both legal ability and ethical standards) from Martindale-Hubbell, the country’s leading peer review rating system for attorneys. Mr. Weltman is admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is additionally admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 1st Circuit. Mr. Weltman is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.
