Westerfield, Stephen P

Judi Wells is a native of Nacogdoches, Texas. While employed full-time in nursing, she obtained experience in a variety of areas, including medical-surgical nursing, emergency room, surgery, infection control, in-service education, patient education, quality assurance, and drafting policies and procedures for various areas. She has served as an internal nurse auditor and as an insurance nurse auditor. She was a member of the American Association of Operating Room Nurses, the Texas Association of Medical Auditors, and was a Trauma Nurse Core Course Provider, as well as an instructor in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Wells was later a Delta Air Lines flight attendant.

Wells served as an articles editor on the Houston Law Review and was a member of the Christian Legal Society. She was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Coif for academic achievements and she received a Lex Award for Contracts II. She was a research assistant to Professor Joseph Sanders in drafting a new edition of a products liability casebook.

Upon graduation from law school, Wells joined the energy litigation section at Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P., where she practiced in the areas of products liability, toxic torts, and arbitration. She moved home to East Texas in January 2003 and joined the Zeleskey Law Firm.

Wells and her son, James Wyatt Tunstall, live in Nacogdoches. She enjoys riding horses, reading, and playing with Wyatt. They attend Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
