Practice: I have been in a continuous private litigation practice since admission to the Missouri and Federal Bars in October, 1982. I founded the Liberman Law Firm in July, 1984. The Law Firm became a Limited Liability Company through the State of Missouri in 2000.

Education: Received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Tulane University of Louisiana in 1978. Received a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1982.

Personal: I am a St. Louis native, married with five adult children and stepchildren. Excellent health. Enjoy guitar, tennis and running.

Client Relationships: Clients come here at the suggestion of friends, acquaintances, attorneys and other clients. Many clients return. I will meet with potential clients as soon as practicable and listen to their concerns. I am quick to assess the situation and advise them as to their legal alternatives.

Negotiation: The Firm will gather, organize and interpret all relevant documentation, and forward it together with a detailed explanation of our position to the opposing side with our demand for, or offer of, settlement. If negotiations are unsuccessful, I will commence litigating your claim in the appropriate court. Many cases settle before litigation.

Alternative Dispute Resolution: I have participated in many successful mediations as counsel for plaintiff or defendant, and prefer this to trial. However, when a mediation fails, or is not offered by the opposing side, the case must be tried.

Litigation: I have tried cases in Missouri Federal and State courts to jury and judge. I am well versed in the rules of procedure and evidence. I have also briefed and argued appeals in the Missouri State courts and in the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C.

Ethics and Legal Ability: I have chaired both the Professionalism and Ethics Committees of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, as well as their Law Related Education Committee. I wrote a monthly ethics column for their publication. I am rated an AV attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, its top rating for ability and ethics.
