Mary E. WanderPolo is the founder of WanderPolo Law, LLC. She has concentrated her practice on Trusts and Estates, Guardianships and Elder Law and is known for incisive legal resourcefulness as well as warm, personal concern for the welfare of her clients and their families.

Ms. WanderPolo was admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey in 1987. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section, the Essex County Bar Association’s Elder Law Section, the New York Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. WanderPolo has been certified by the National Elder Law Foundation as a Certified Elder Law Attorney since 1997. In 2003 she was a founding member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, on which council she serves as chair this year. In April of 2012 Ms. WanderPolo was awarded the title of “Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys” which is reserved for members who have been recognized by their peers as a model for others, and an exceptional lawyer and leader.

In Ms. WanderPolo’s legal practice, she worked from 1987 to 1995 primarily in the areas of Guardianship and Estate Planning at the firm of Freedman and Fish in New York City. In 1995 she moved her practice to New Jersey where she has continued her concentration in all aspects of Elder Law and Estate Planning.

Mary was appointed by the Office of Attorney Ethics of the Supreme Court of New Jersey to the District VB Ethics Committee in 2007, and was reappointed on July 29, 2011 for a second four-year term. She is the co-author of West’s New Jersey Practice Series Volumes 45 and 45A, Elder Law—Guardianships and Conservatorships and Elder Law—Guide to Medicaid laws and Regulations. She is a member of the Guardianship Association of New Jersey and a frequent lecturer for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
