Stephanie Walter's practice is focused on environmental and real estate law. Stephanie counsels clients with regard to the acquisition and sale of contaminated properties, methods to enhance the marketability of contaminated properties and compliance with environmental requirements. Stephanie's practice also includes counseling clients in real estate matters including, leasing, purchase and sale agreements and landlord/tenant disputes. Stephanie also has experience in general corporate and contracts matters.
Prior to joining Coleman Frost, Stephanie served as Assistant General Counsel for ARAMARK Uniform & Career Apparel, LLC (a division of ARAMARK Corporation, a Fortune 500 company) for nearly seven years. As Assistant General Counsel, Stephanie advised the company on environmental, real estate and construction related matters for approximately 300 leased and owned properties across the country.
Prior to her position with ARAMARK, Stephanie practiced at O'Melveny & Myers LLP for seven years. At O'Melveny & Myers, Stephanie represented institutional investors, landowners, lenders and public utilities with regard to environmental and real estate matters, including representation of a major California public utility in the divestiture of its fossil fuel and hydroelectric power plants.
Stephanie was named one of the Top Women Lawyers in Business in 2003 by the Women Lawyer's Association of Los Angeles. Stephanie has written and lectured on various environmental and real estate topics, including presentations given to the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel. Her publications include Tools to Enhance Marketability of Contaminated Properties, Environmental Compliance and Litigation Strategy, Oct. 1998; Talk Policy, California Law Business (co-author), March 9, 1998.
Stephanie is a member of the California Bar and served on the Executive Committee of the Environmental Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association for several years. Stephanie is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and received a B.A. from Idaho State University, where she graduated first in her class.
