Graduated from Coe College (cum laude) with a major in Biology. I have a Masters Degree from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University at Chicago.

In 2003 I was awarded an Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois for starting a "Help Desk" in the Bankruptcy Court where I am still active in volunteering time and serve on the Pro Bono Committee.

I am a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute and have served as a guest lecturer at the American Bankruptcy Institute.
