Waicukauski, Ronald J.

Jill Vorobiev engages in a broad-based labor and employment practice, with particular focus on representing corporate clients in class and collective actions. Jill has represented management in matters arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Labor Management Relations Act, as well as various state and local discrimination and employment laws, including wrongful discharge, breach of contract, tort, and violation of public policy. She has extensive experience representing individuals and employers in trade secret misappropriation cases in state and federal courts. Jill also has advised companies with respect to rejection and modification of labor contracts and retiree benefits and has worked on negotiations and litigation in bankruptcy.

Jill regularly counsels and trains employers on federal and state labor and employment laws, civil rights laws, and compliance matters of all kinds, including sexual harassment, wage and hour compliance, and military leave law. She has reviewed and drafted employment policies, executive employment agreements, noncompete and confidentiality agreements, and severance agreements.

Representative clients in recent public matters include Advocate Health Care, BrainLAB, Experian, JohnsonDiversey, Verizon Communications, and Viking Range Corporation. Jill's restructuring and bankruptcy representations include Chrysler, Dana Corporation, and Independence Air.

Jill is a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee of The Chicago Bar Association and has been published in the University of Notre Dame's The Journal of College and University Law.
