Since 1997, Dennis R. Vetrano Jr., has practiced family law and criminal law in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam and Ulster counties, first as a prosecutor for the Department of Social Services in Columbia County and since then, providing professional and pragmatic representation as the Law Office of Dennis R. Vetrano, Jr., LLC.

Mr. Vetrano has also been a Drug Court Liaison and served as a councilor in a fathers' rights group. He was nominated as Law Guardian of the Year for 2012.
