Elizabeth Langston specializes in trademark, copyright, and unfair competition law. She began her practice at Pennie & Edmonds LLP in 1998, where she worked until joining Jones Day. Elizabeth has litigated trademark, trade dress, false advertising, and unfair competition cases in the federal courts and in adversarial proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Elizabeth has represented clients in the luxury goods industry in all aspects of anticounterfeiting matters, including civil and criminal enforcement, enforcement through U.S. Customs, and monitoring and terminating the unauthorized use of intellectual property on the Internet. She has also developed and implemented comprehensive programs to combat counterfeiting on behalf of her clients. In addition to litigation and enforcement Elizabeth has extensive experience in the clearance, prosecution, registration, protection, enforcement, maintenance, licensing, and transfer of trademarks in the United States and worldwide.
Elizabeth is a member of the International Trademark Association, the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Arkansas Bar Association. She is the author of "Changes in the Arkansas Law of Informed Consent: What's Up Doc?" 19 U. Ark. Little Rock L.J. 263 (1997).
