Varellas, Sandra M.

Susana is the founder of Lannik Law, LLC.   She graduated from New York University, receiving a Bachelor’s degree, followed by a Master’s in Art History from Boston University Graduate School.  She graduated from Suffolk University School of Law with Juris Doctor Degree.  Susana is a “lawyers teacher” having taught courses on estate planning and elder law to other attorneys through continuing legal education programs sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association and by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE).  Throughout her career she continues to give lectures in partnership with financial planning and insurance professionals, and teaches her subject to the general public through her own workshops as well as the adult education programs in Brookline and Newton.  Susana offers free workshops to the public each month, in Wellesley and Newton.

In addition to bar memberships and participation in National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Susana has an interest in charitable giving, and the various legal methods for the implementation of her clients’ charitable giving.  She presently sits on the board of Overseers of the Boston Ballet; serves as a grant reader for the Boston Jewish Women’s Community Group (C.J.P); has worked with Hadassah with their Planned Giving and major gifts programs; serves on the Hadassah Attorney’s Council for the Boston Chapter, and is on the Board of Visitors for the North Carolina School of Arts.

When Susana is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.  She has an abiding love for her two cats and animals in general.  Susana is also a veracious reader, and loves to catch up on the latest historical novels while on vacation.
