Rodd Lape has acted as the lead lawyer in dozens of M&A and private equity transactions. He advises his clients on a wide range of matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, distressed transactions, restructurings, debt and equity financings, joint ventures, strategic planning, fiduciary duties, and general corporate counseling. Rodd has represented public and private companies and entrepreneurs in a variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, building products, industrial technology, publishing, insurance, telecommunications, and e-business.

In the past several years, Rodd has focused his practice on the representation of private equity and venture funds. In that regard, he has represented 3Stone Advisors, Baird Capital Partners, Onyx Capital Ventures, Primus Venture Partners, Raymond James Capital, The Riverside Company, and Stonehenge Partners. Rodd's recent experience also includes the representation of Abbott Laboratories, Alliance Industries, American Electric Power, Dayton Power & Light, Lancaster Colony Corporation, Sprint Nextel, and Sterling Commerce.

Rodd is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Section), the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association.
