Vallette, Michael J.

Suzanne was born and raised in Southampton, New York. She attended the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she majored in Psychology, with a minor in Business Studies. Suzanne spent her final semester of college at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. While in New Zealand, she traveled throughout the North and South Islands and took classes in psychology and the Māori culture.

After graduating from SUNY Geneseo, Suzanne attended Washington & Lee University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. While at Washington & Lee, Suzanne participated in a third-year externship with the Legal Aid Society, where she worked with clients facing landlord-tenant, custody, divorce and employment disputes. Suzanne also interned with the domestic violence section of the Queens County District Attorney’s Office and an international financial institution.

Upon graduation from law school, Suzanne went to work for the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm. As part of her general litigation practice, she worked on international arbitrations involving breach of contract disputes, antitrust litigation, and pro bono matters including social security appeals, homeless shelter evictions, and housing discrimination cases.

Suzanne now focuses her insurance defense practice on construction defect, personal injury, and termite litigation. Suzanne routinely handles litigation in both state and federal courts and has tried cases to verdict in federal court. As part of her litigation practice, Suzanne regularly mediates matters.
