Vaishali practices in the area of intellectual property law, with primary emphasis on IP litigation. Vaishali has been involved with patent prosecution matters including utility and design applications in many different product fields, such as medical equipment, pens, luggage, office products, golf equipment, bicycles, and cosmetic applicators, among others. She also has significant experience in litigation matters involving patent infringement and defense in cases concerning consumer products, bar code scanners, and wireless communications.
Vaishali also gained technical experience prior to her law career when she worked as a project engineer for a mechanical contracting firm in Alexandria, Virginia.
Vaishali is a member of the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the TJC Washington Lawyers' Network that was founded to mobilize and sustain a philanthropic network of Washington area lawyers to promote awareness of, and provide funding for, the Tahirih Justice Center, in support of the center's efforts to enable women and girls who face gender-based violence to access justice worldwide. Through her work at the TJC Washington Lawyers' Network, Vaishali received Tahirih's Outstanding Contribution Award. Additionally, Vaishali is a cofounder and currently the treasurer of the SABA Foundation that was established in 2003 to provide fellowships to law students who intern for public interest organizations or whose proposed course of work or study will otherwise advance the interests of the South Asian community. Vaishali is also a founding board member of the National South Asian Bar Association.
