A California native, Mr. Kubota was born in November 1964. He received his Associates of Arts degree at San Bernardino Valley College in 1986 and his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, with an emphasis in domestic politics, from the University of California, Riverside, in 1989, thereafter he received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University in 1994.
Mr. Kubota spends much of his personal time advocating, protecting and advancing the rights of injured victims by being directly involved in organizations which advocate and protect injured victims rights. Mr. Kubota has served on the Board of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association since 2002 and is currently the First Vice President and will be President in 2011. He also serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys of California as an elected Orange County member and serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Kubota also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Banyard Inns of Court.Mr. Kubota is also an active member of the American Association of Justice (formally known as the American Trial Lawyers Association), Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Asian American Bar Association, and Banyard Inns of Court. In addition to being an active member of these organizations, he is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Kubota is a frequent lecturer and author having given lectures and presentations for the Orange County Trial Lawyers Associations, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association, the Tahoe Trial Lawyers Association, the Orange Bar Association, the Banyard Inns of Court, and the National Business Institute. Mr. Kubota also was a guess lecturer at Western State University and Chapman University. He has articles and programs published by the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Orange County Bar Association, and National Business Institute.
Mr. Kubota is married and lives in South Orange County. Mr. Kubota is an avid fly fisherman, both salt and fresh water, and engages in the practice of catch and release. When time permits, he enjoys traveling to different states across the nation for new fly fishing opportunities. He prides himself as an amateur entomologist, studying the life of aquatic insects on which trout feed.
